Frankie - our athlete - great at herding & agility's Description.

My name is Frankie and I am apart of the F-team (Frankie, Keeley and Feda), there is only 3 of us left now. We were apart of the litter of 9 who were bought to HappyPaws Haven just before Christmas 2009. Our mother was a blue heeler and Dad was an Elfinvale Kelpie, from Victoria which is a special type of working kelpie. Mum's owners were going away for Christmas holidays and they had arranged for someone to look after her, but we were too much apparently so we came to this place. Although we are having so much fun with a lovely yard to play in, we really need to find a home of our own now. People come and see us, we have other puppies to play with, and we have being going to basic training on Sunday at the Grafton Dog Obedience Club which we really loved as it was something new to do! We are immunised, micro-chipped and de-sexed ready to go to our new homes. Life is so good! I am a very athletic dog and would love to do herding and or agility as I have lots of energy to burn and I have been told that I move very quickly. I naturally try the herd everything I can including my play mates. In fact I went to a farm for a short period but the farmer brought me back because he was in his seventies and I was to fast for him. I don’t like travelling on the back of a ute or chained up in a box trailer as it is very scary, I much prefer to travel in a car. We are a very intelligent and learn very quickly. We are more finely built and not as tall as some kelpies but that is why we can move so quickly and are sort after for agility, fly ball or herding. We need a job to do or exercised twice a day or to learn some of these sporting activities otherwise we get bored. We are not good at being inclosed in a yard day after day with nothing to do. We will make a wonderful loyal, affectionate pet as long as we have lots of walks or outings. We do love our cuddles and being with people so don’t leave us home alone for long periods, day in day out, its ok occasionally but not all the time.
