HappyPaws Haven website is a web based resource for rescue groups and members of the public needing assistance in the re-homing of their animals.

Happy Paws Haven is a no-kill animal rescue and rehoming centre in the Clarence Valley in Northern NSW which provides adoption or re-homing services throughout Australia. We also have a small branch now in Bonville near Coffs Harbour. At HappyPaws Haven our primary focus is on the animals in our care. We foster a small number of dogs at a time thus are able to spend the time required to find the correct home for a dog. We only foster a new dog when a fostered dog gets a home

We are a no-kill organisation committed to caring for every animal we rescue. To achieve this we rely on the hard work of volunteers and donations from the community.

In a world older and more complete than ours they move finished and complete, gifted with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. From: The Outermost House by Henry Beston.

We would welcome you with open arms as there is always something for everyone to do so please come to this important meeting tell your family and friends about it and let them know its for a good cause. Bring a plate and stay for afternoon tea!

Our current fund raising project is to replace our current septic system. We also need a sick bay for the cats and an additional holding pen for the dogs. We need to line the walls with fiber board, to purchase and install aircell blanket insulation and the security windows. We also need to make sure the new insulated shed is ventillated, vermin proof and weather proof. We also may need other construction materials for this sick bay and isolation area for sick animals. At the moment we have to treat them within their current location, in the managers house or find a foster carer willing to nurse a sick animal or nuture a baby.

Any donations towards this project will be very much appreciated.

Dont forget to buy a ticket in our raffle at a shopping centre when ever you see our familiar volunteers in their yellow t-shirts every week

We are still looking for a Handy man to do the maintenance work at the shelter.

We still desparately need volunteers to help at the shelter. There still are some days where we have either none or one helper and we really need about 4 to 5 to get everything done easily

If there is anyone out there who can give half a day on any day of the week to come clean and care for the cats in particular, bring a friend with them it would be wonderful.

We also really need a group of 4 - 6 people at least to focus on fund raising events, we need to run at least one fund raising event every month so we can continue to do the good work caring for the animals at the shelter.

We always need dry food donations especially for the cats, plastic bags, any remants of shade sail cloth, canvass, or any other tough fabric to make our dog trampoline bed covers with, dogs bed covers and toys for the animals.

It has been really wonderful how kind and generous the people from the Clarence Valley and surrounding areas have been to us and the animals thank them so very much.
